Mothership feature

Know you are ready for Ofsted. Every single day.

One dashboard checks every record each morning and shows, area by area, how ready each setting is right now. It tells you exactly what to fix, long before an inspector asks.

In detail

What happens

  1. Every morning the system looks at every record that matters for an inspection. That means DBS and right to work checks, first aid and safeguarding certificates, training, policy signatures, supervisions and safeguarding actions.

  2. Each Ofsted area gets a simple colour. Green means ready. Amber means something needs doing soon. You see this for every setting on one screen, so oversight never depends on someone's memory or a spreadsheet.

  3. Anything amber becomes a clear to-do: what, where and who. In most cases the reminder has already gone to the person who needs to act, so by the time you look, it is already being fixed.

  4. When Ofsted calls, one button switches on inspection day mode. It pulls together everything an inspector usually asks for, with a briefing sheet for the manager.

  5. Area names follow Ofsted's early years inspection areas. We update them as Ofsted's framework changes, so you are always checking against the current rules.

The benefit to your nursery

What you get

Peace of mind

You know where you stand today, not on the day the inspector arrives.

Real oversight

Owners and groups see every setting on one screen, the same day a gap appears.

Less chasing

Reminders go out by themselves, so you stop being the person who chases.

Ofsted confidence

You can show an inspector, at any moment, that leaders know what is happening.

You stay in control

What you still decide

The system does the running around. The decisions that matter stay with you.

  • What to do about anything amber, and who should do it.
  • When to press inspection day mode.
  • Which settings and people each manager can see.
Questions

Good to know

How often is it checked?

Every morning, automatically. You don't have to press anything.

Does it work for one nursery as well as a group?

Yes. A single nursery sees its own areas. A group sees every setting on one screen.

What happens when Ofsted changes its framework?

We update the areas the dashboard checks against, so it keeps matching what inspectors look for.
