What happens
You plan the rota for the week. As you do, the ratios for every room are checked, so a room that would be short shows straight away. When you're happy, the rota goes to staff phones.
When someone asks for holiday, the request arrives with the days they have left and a check that there's cover in the rota. You approve or decline in one tap, and everything updates.
Sickness calls are logged too, with prompts for a return-to-work chat.
Your calendar holds show-rounds, supervisions, settling-in sessions and team meetings, with notes kept. Parents can book show-rounds only at the times you choose. Blocked days stay blocked. Staff clocking in on a tablet feeds hours into the rota and payroll.
